This has been a trying to time for the victims of Hurriance Harvery — especially those in the Houston area. In addition to some great national charities, such as the American Red Cross, here are amazing Houston-based charities that are in need of your help. Organizated by the the Greater Houston Community Foundation, the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund was put together by Houston Mayor, Sylvester Turner.
Established by the United Way of Houston, this fund allows people to pinpoint where they would like their relief dollars to be used. There is also an option to just use donations where they are most needed.
So many Houstonians are without a good meal right now, but the Houston Food Bank has made it easy to donate funds to help victims find food.
One of the first spots to be rocked by Hurricane Harvey, the Food Bank of Corpus Christi is in desperate need of donations to allow them to feed those impacted by the storm.
Hurricane Harvey has also impacted our pets in the storm and local shelters can't always accomodate our furry family members.
Crews out of Tulsa's own Salvation Army will be working around the clock to feed those impacted by Harvey. Some predictions say they will be giving three meals a day up until nearly the holiday season. For a quick gift of $10 to the cause, simply text "STORM" to 51555.
